Groov Rio Update Failure

Request some help for the update failure, and thanks in advance!

Description:

Update failed at the step of “Verify and decrypt image” from 3.5.0-b.46 to 4.0.2-b.194.

Attempts:

I have tried the following options, but none of them seem to work

  1. Multiple browser/PC
  2. Two different Rios
  3. use bin file of 4.0.1-b.124
  4. I also tried to use shell in debug the RSA key issue but I don’t think I know how to fix it.

Additional info:

I am in a corporate network and the Log info for error is attached:

You said you tried updating two units. What model are the units, GRV-R7-MM1001-10, GRV-R7-MM2001-10, or GRV-R7-I1VAPM-3?

both are GRV-R7-MM2001-1

According to the logs in your original post the signature check prevented you from installing grv-r7-mm1001-10 firmware onto grv-r7-mm2001-10 units as the firmware was incompatible with the model of rio.

Please download and install grv-r7-mm2001-10 firmware and let us know if that solves the issue.

Thanks, that was the root cause!

The update page in the Rio was somehow linking to firmware 1001; I missed to check it….

I forwarded a request to Opto 22 to add a hint to the logs that a failed signature check may have been due to uploading firmware for another model of RIO.
