In Codesys IDE: I have connection established with RIO in “Communication settings,” License applied to RIO already, runtime enabled in Groov manage and showing running. I am entering the admin user and pass inside Codesys which matches the one i log into GroovRIO with. What am I doing wrong?
In the online class titled “Setting up authentication and connecting to the Groov Rio,” step 8 states:
“A message about user management (authentication) appears. You’ll need to set up a User name and Password to connect to the CODESYS Runtime Engine running on the controller.
4. Select Yes.

I am not getting this prompt and instead being asked for a password which Codesys apparently thinks already exists. I keep trying to use my Groov manage credentials without success.
LLM told me to delete my UserDatabase.csv inside Groov shell /home/codesys
(plus a couple other related files) and stated that would cause the system to prompt me for the new user. It worked, I was indeed prompted.
Did deleting the file(s) solve the issue? Codesys does require its own user/pass creation on first login. You should be prompted to create this upon first your attempt to login to Codesys via the Development System.
