I set up a Groov RIO with the native sparkplug settings to connect to a HiveMQ Broker I have running. I then am using Ignition MQTT Engine to injest that data. What I am seeing is constant rebirth commands being sent from Ignition to the RIO. The logs in ignition state:
“Failed to handle sequence number check on DBIRTH: For Group=XXX and Edge Node=XXX - Message Sequence number ERROR: expected=1 but received=0”
Has anyone run into this? Is there a way to manually set the birth sequence # to 1 in the RIO?
Great to hear.
I was trying to find the KB article on the birth rate limit, but I guess we have not published it yet.
Glad you got up and running and yeah, worth it for the chance to play with Codesys!
