It would be great if we could setup generic memory map points in the RIO to be published to a MQTT broker.

Yup. That and PID parameters is on the to-do list.
has this been actioned or still on the to-do list?
No. Yes.
I will dig into the features of the upcoming 3.3 firmware release and see if it made it.
@philip and @Jakes Good news guys.
I dug into the finished tickets for 3.3 and both made it.
No date yet, we are still completing tickets and so QA testing has not started.
awesome news! Thanks for the info Ben
Update on this.
The PID area made it in 3.3, that’s for sure there.
What I misunderstood is that the scratchpad area via MQTT is in two parts. The first part is done and will be in 3.3 under the covers. (ie, not usable or visible by anyone, but the groundwork is in place), but the actual feature will be in the 3.4 release.
So, PID ‘make public’ via MQTT is all go for 3.3.
Scratchpad via MQTT is slated for 3.4
Sorry for the confusion.
The initially requested feature to setup generic MMP adresses and publish them to a MQTT broiker is now available with the release of Firmware 3.4, for groov EPIC and groov RIO
