I have a temperature input and PID and I’m simulating it with an R1. I don’t actually have a temperature module, it’s just configured in the project. When I run it in simulation mode (variable), that will disable comms to all IO points and start a special chart that simulates the temperature based on outputs set by other charts. It works well and I notice that the IVAL changes appropriately (XVAL is NAN). When I try to connect a text object in PAC Display to this temperature input, it just shows #.#. I also have a setpoint text object with the same format (#.#) pointing to a variable and it works.
Does PAC Display only look at the XVAL and it’s showing #.# because the IO point is disabled?
