This might be silly, but I wonder,
If I create a program in groov pac control that outputs a sine wave 0-10V via one of analog output channel that will run continuously , would I wear the output module or cpu?

You can use the „Sine“ command in PAC Contrls Math Command set, and move the value to the analog output.
Scale the output in relation to the Sine command result.
That should deliver what you are looking for.
Its all electronic parts, should run the sine wave for 20+ years with zero issues.
There are no moving parts in the module or CPU, so nothing to wear out.
As @gerhardK said, there is a built in command to create this signal.
I have it running on the turbine demo page on demo.groov.com (Log in with trial and opto22) to create a little ‘noise’ around the signal. Its been running there 24 * 7 * 365 for about 8 years.
