Today I went to look at the configuration for a point and the point configuration window opened off-screen. Normally I can use some Windows “fixes” to get it back but this time I can’t. Is there an .ini file or equivalent that keeps track on where to open windows that I can modify or delete to solve this problem?
The current way to deal with it is to remove the registry entry that remembers the window position of the dialog box.
They are located at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Opto22\PAC Control\Dialogs.
Open RegEdit, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Opto22\PAC Control\Dialogs and remove the entries for View Analog Point, View Digital Point, or View Variable. That should do the trick.
The developer for PAC Control has a ‘reset’ button on his to-do list, but there are other features to code first.
Highlight the app window you want to move by clicking it on the taskbar
Press Alt + Space
Press the down arrow key once and press Enter.
Now use the arrow keys to move the window until you see it appears on your screen
