Logged off during firmware update

This is the second time I’ve had this happen. During the firmware file upload on a PR1, as soon as that part finishes, groov manage logged me out (it took a long time to upload since the firmware files are too big and this is located remotely).

How do I know the status up the update, is it still going or did it stop?

When you log back in there is a colored banner across the top that reports its progress.

Nothing on the top, does that mean I have to start over with the upload?

I’m seeing block devices being created in the OS log, so I think it is silently performing the update.

If you try and do the upload again, it will reject it and let you know that one is in progress.
But yeah, the blocks are a bit of give away.

Do you know if it automatically reboots at the end of the update? I don’t remember.

Yes it does auto reboot.
Twice.
The first is the clean boot with the new firmware and on that boot it checks if it has a backup file it needs to restore, if it finds it (if you checked the backup option of the update process) it copies the data into the right places and then reboots again and comes up with the old host name, Node-RED flows and Nodes, firewall etc (all the stuff you checked when you did the pre-upgrade flight check).

It wasn’t updating. I had to start over. It seems to be progressing correctly this time.
