No Windows 2019 Server yet? 2012 R2 is the only supported server OS from Microsoft on your list and it is only in extended support for one more year and has been out of mainstream support for four years now.
Thanks for bringing this up. We researched it and found that our published specs are out of date at the moment; we will be updating our specs on our website and in our docs soon.
Here are the current specs:
groov Server for Windows version 4.4 is supported on:
· Windows 11 Professional
· Windows 10 Professional
· Windows Server 2019
· Windows Server 2016
· Windows Server 2012
SoftPAC version 10.4 is supported on:
· Windows 10 Professional.
Upcoming support for Windows 11:
· We plan to support Windows 11 for all PAC Project components in the upcoming PAC Project 10.5 release.
Additional comments:
· If a newer operating system is not listed for one of the software products, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it won’t work; it means that we haven’t tested on that OS. If you decide to use an unsupported OS, it might work fine, but we haven’t tested it.
· Currently, to install groov Server for Windows on Windows 11 or on Windows Server 2016 or 2019, you will have to manually install .NET 3.5 before installing groov Server for Windows. For more info on installing .NET 3.5, see these links:
