Groov Rio Node-red bluetooth

I would like to connect to node red, working as a bluetooth host.
Every kind of node from node repository is screaming about python 3.6 (screen attached).
I cannot use them as every time installation fails.

More over, I would like to start a modbus server using node red. I’ve managed this by installing
totally old version of node-red-contrib-modbus, but the newest version which is working is from more than 3 years old.

How can I update python version on Rio?
How can I update node.js ?
How can I update node-red?

I have the latest firmware on RIO which is 3.6.0-b.44.
How can I get newer one?

The node-red-contrib-modbus Version 5.3 is working fine. Even if it is not the latest version.

The groov RIO is a industrial Edge I/O device, and we offer frequent updates of the firmware. Since we have to go through complex testing procedures to assure that all applications on the device are working with each other, the software and OS Versions are usually not the ones you can right now download from the individual products.

We are working on updating the core OS, incl. Python, node.js and Node-RED. This will be available later this year.

In the meantime you can use this link to get more information about updating Python.

It’s not possible to update just NodeJS at this time.
A new version of firmware is coming that addresses the older version. We hope to have it released by the end of the year.

The version of Node-RED is tied to the version of nodejs, so we are running the most recent version of Node-RED that the version of nodejs will allow.

That is the most recent version of firmware.
You can find this here: Opto22 - groov RIO Module Firmware
Also I usually post to the forums as soon as a new version of firmware becomes available for both EPIC and RIO.
