What would be the best way to connect a EPIC PLC to another EPIC PLC and an EPIC to RIO. The remote device has an analog value coming into it and I need to read that value from an EPIC.
In Codesys, should I just add another device on the Ethernet or Data Sources Manager or OPTO.MmpClient function?
I would recommend using the Data Source Manager and the OPC-UA option to connect any of the controllers.
If you just need the second EPICs or RIOs to be remote I/O they can be added in the device tree.
I haven’t been able to get any of them to work. I’m now working with support on getting it to work as another device in the device tree under a new Ethernet device.
