CSERI-4 card, works in groov manage but not in Pac Control?

I have a PR-1 with a single CSERI card (was in module 0, moved it to module 1 just to see, but always in the first four slots). Firmware 4.0.1-b.124, and then the card firmware I also updated to R1.6g (was f). On the card itself and in groov manage, the light is blue, so “normal communications”. However.

In PAC Control, I cannot get it to communicate with the card? I keep getting -539 which is I/O error, retry. Lost communications. When I try to force “enable comm” to yes, it just flicks back to the red No and keeps giving the same error/info in the message queue regardless of what I try.

I’m not sure what to do here, because the light is blue which is indicating fine comms, but the pac just doesn’t seem to recognize it? I also have the newest (I think) pac professional, v10.5003-165. The pac is also seeing the epic control engine just fine, just not the card?

Am I just missing something obvious here? I feel like I am spinning in circles!

Looks like PAC Control can’t connect to the IO Unit itself. How do you have the IO unit configured? If this is the local unit, do you have loopback checked?

ah thank you, you were correct & putting it as local loopback worked!
