Thanks @philip this is my first experience with this type of programming so I appreciate the insight. I am assuming that its not really possible then to mockup and simulate a device and that we really will have to interface with a real device running modbus? My team is looking to use the ABB device to control a variable speed motor for a blower and a few other things and we are looking to the simplest and most reliable process.
