I’m sure I’m probably in the minority when it comes to OTPO and Profibus protocol, but we recently received a third party analyzer with Profibus communication. This is my first time trying to use OPTO to communicate through Profibus. I followed all the steps in “1591 Profi master tech note”, but it seems like its geared more towards digital data versus what I need, which is to extract analog data.
Is there anyone in OPTO land who has worked on OPTO and Profibus analog communication that is willing to provide some help? It’s a simple slave device, and I’m trying to extract a couple of analog points from it. It appears as though I’m talking to the device, but I think the “Profibus DP Master” strategy is trying to extract digital points instead of my analog.
