Using SNAP-TEX-FB16-H with SNAP-IAC-16

I want to use the SNAP-TEX-FB16-H breakout board in conjunction with a SNAP-IAC-16 module to monitor 120VAC inputs.

I cannot seem to figure out how to wire the breakout board (I have looked at the app note, but it wasn’t of help for this board). I would like to be able to use the LEDs as input indicators when there is power being applied to the terminal.

Is this possible, or is the FB16-H simply a terminal strip for inputs?

Best Regards,

Adam

Hi Ya abro964,

Take a look at the wiring diagram for that rack in its manual;
http://www.opto22.com/site/documents/doc_drilldown.aspx?aid=3576

Here is a snip of it;

As you can see, there is no way that LED is going to light unless the fuse is blown.
This breakout board is primary designed to protect the load and module from each other, hence the fuse.

The way you intend to use it is out side the scope of that board…

That said… if you pull the fuse out, it will work just fine.

Wire it as per that doc and you should get what you need.

Ben.

Thanks Ben. I am just going to go with the SNAP-TEX32 board instead.
