Has anyone been able to print to a serial printer (RS-232) from either the built-in serial port on an Opto brain or from an RS-232 module? I’m just looking to print about six lines of a text to a serial ticket printer.

Yep, depending on the printer, its pretty straight forward.
Just open a comm handle and spit the required characters at the port.
There is nothing special or tricky (if the printer is sane).
